After skidding out of control, the Queen loses her crown a little too long for comfort: as per the official rules, this deprives her de facto of her royal powers. At least now the tables can be turned: she can step into the shoes of her subjects, for once, and find out what it's like to be a commoner. Or at least that's what Alice is planning: unbeknownst to Lewis, she has hidden the precious crown on purpose: this little life lesson will do the Queen the world of good!
