Alice brings a big shell back from vacation for Lewis. But when she gets to Wonderland, the Queen wants to keep it for herself! So Alice tells her that the shell is, in fact, her crown, meaning she too is a queen! Wonderland's sovereign believes this fib and decides to coach Alice in the art of queenhood, or, more precisely, the Art of Being a Queen of Hearts! Lewis is deeply concerned, for good reason: Alice is playing along with the monarch so much that she's actually starting to act like her!
