Un-Bee-Lievable
A tough winter has finally broken in Michigan, and local animals are abuzz with the warmer weather. From a bellowing bull to calving cows to pups that get porcupine'd, this week is as un-bee-lievable as ever for the vets at PVS! Dr. Pol and Charles travel to Andrea Tait's farm to castrate a bellowing bull. In addition to his volume levels, Porter has a set of horns that can do some damage; it's time to tame the beast. Back at the clinic and later in the evening, Dr. Emily is on call when Gregory brings in a family cat that can't move its hind legs. It doesn't look good, and some x-rays confirm the severity of this cat's issues. From there, Dr. Emily is called out to David Young's farm to assist a cow in stalled labor. It's a race against the clock to get the calf out in time to survive, so Dr. Emily is going to give it everything she's got. The next day, Dr. Pol and Charles take another trip-this time for a Belgian mare that's been losing weight. Suspecting a kidney issue, Dr. Pol takes a urine sample and a blood sample to test back at the clinic. Charles has spent the week preparing for his latest project, beekeeping! At the lake house with a hive fit for a queen and the bees in hand, the Pols suit up and get down to it. It's family hijinks as the three let their next endeavor take flight!

Piggin' In The Rain
While the weather in Michigan may be inconsistent, the hard work of Dr. Pol and his team of vets at PVS is anything but. It may be a rainy and miserable Monday, but whenever and wherever an animal is in need, the staff at Pol Vet is there to help. Dr. Pol and Charles are off to castrate a pair of testy bulls. Several failed attempts to corral the bulls leave them increasingly agitated and it becomes apparent that they'll need to be tranquilized first. With a little stealth and some old school rope techniques, Dr. Pol manages to inject and subdue the thousand pound bulls for a safe and easy procedure. At the clinic, Dr. Emily takes a look at a drove of pigs in the parking lot that are coughing with high fevers. Suspecting respiratory infection, Dr. Emily wants to take a fecal sample to check for anything she might be overlooking. When the slide is clear, Dr. Emily is happy to report that the pigs' treatments today will end with antibiotics and instructions to quarantine until they get better. Dr. Brenda heads over to Rooftop Landing Reindeer Farm to inspect a newborn reindeer. This little bundle is having a difficult time standing-something she should have been able to do hours ago. Without enough milk from mom, Dr. Brenda needs to act quickly to save this adorable reindeer in time. Once the weather has perked up, Dr. Pol and Diane take a little trip to Holland… Michigan. Reminiscent of Dr. Pol's home country where the two once lived together, Jan and Diane enjoy the beautiful day holding hands and laughing over the bright tulips.
