The comedy follows the character Sheldon through school life as he skips four classes due to his advanced intellect to be in his older brothers year. Sheldon's social impairments means he faces unique challenges but strives to be understood by his classmates and family. The show is a light-hearted comedy set in the 1980 to early 1990s in the fictional town of Medford, Texas where the child prodigy Iain Armitage stars as Sheldon.
