American sitcom about Christy, a single mother-of-two in recovery. Even after years of being sober, she is struggling with her addictions. She tries to stay positive but she is pushed to her limits when her mother, also a recovering alcoholic, returns back into her life. Together, this troubled daughter/mother duo try to rebuild their relationship and support each other to stay clean. The quarrels with her boss, teenage daughter and ex-husband do not make Christy's life any easier either. This comedy series deals not only with issues of addiction but a number of important topics in society including teen pregnancy, homelessness, domestic violence and death. Starring Anna Faris and Allison Janney as Christy and Bonnie Plunkett.
