Legal thriller, based on John Grisham's novel, starring John Cusack, Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman and Rachel Weisz. Several years after a gunman rampaged through an office building, killing at random, one of the victim's wives brings a case to court against the company who made the gun used in the attack. Behind the prosecution is jury consultant Rankin Fitch, who believes he has already bought his "not guilty" verdict. However, he reckons without a young man and his partner, who play a dangerous game of cat and mouse as they manipulate the jury from within for their own ends.
