Lucky Peterson, Tribute To Jimmy Smith - Banlieues Bleues
Lucky Peterson, tribute to Jimmy Smith Lucky Peterson (organ, lyric) Nicolas Fomer (trumpet) Kekyn Crapp (guitar) Ahmad Compaoré (drums) Twelve years after the death of Jimmy Smith, Lucky Peterson, pays a tribute to the master of the Hammond organ.' My father brought me up on blues before I could even walk, and I played the organ before having learnt to speak.'Lucky Peterson, The precocious, classy little baby's bottle was thrown into music as soon as he was born.To this die-hard blues man, who is the guardian of the flame, he was able to add a well-chosen dose of groove. There is no doubt that it was a suitable way to honour Jimmy Smith, who was a reference in the realm of jazz soul and with whom he had exchanged in his youth. Finally this dive into history reminds us how much the hymns of the 1950's and 1960's remain incredibly sensual, enough to encourage the choir of a church to dance... Recorded on March 31st 2018 at the 'Espace Paul Eluard, Stains, Banlieues bleues...

Music - A Journey for Life, Riccardo Chailly
"Without inner fire, without physical energy, this profession would be unthinkable," according to Riccardo Chailly, in whose style of conducting accuracy and elegance are unforgettably united with an inexhaustible temperament. This is clear in this portrait of the Italian maestro, which accompanies him working with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, at La Scala in Milan, and in rehearsals for La Bohème at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia.

Jazz à Vienne
Erik Truffaz Quartet: Carte blanche Erik Truffaz (trumpet), Marcello Giuliani (bass), Benoit Corboz (piano, Fender Rhodes), Arthur Hnatek (drums) At the end of the 1990s, Erik Truffaz released two discs in quick succession on the legendary Blue Note label, The Dawn (1998) and Bending New Corners (1999) which would reveal him as a leading innovator. Inaugurating a hybrid sound, between the suspense of a film noir, the frantic rhythms of the British jungle music and jazz, they influenced a whole generation of young musicians who all over the world were going to rush into the breach opened by the trumpeter. and the other pioneers of electro-jazz. Since then, this master of the trumpet has never ceased to draw inspiration from a groove tinged with dreaminess that has become his signature, from African rhythms to medieval vocal music, including electro and dub. In October 2019, his latest grand cru, Lune Rouge, came out with his new quartet, whose freshness demonstrated that he...
