Filmed in Paris, Prague, Łódź, Memphis, New Orleans and New York over the course of six months in 2014 and 2015, Just Let Go is the story about relationships between Lenny Kravitz and his band and why, despite him being a solo artist, these musicians are so vitally important to him both personally and professionally. Concert performances, captured raw, honest and live in Bercy Arena, Paris and the o2 Arena, Prague, showcase front man extraordinaire Kravitz and the iconic and world-renowned virtuoso musicians who surround him. From the afro-sporting jazz drummer, Cindy Blackman Santana to David Bowie-collaborator bass player, Gail Ann Dorsey through to long standing friend, guitarist and musical director, Craig Ross, the film revels in the personalities and characters present in the band's stellar line up. Threading through the film in documentary footage, captured on locations steeped in American musical history in Memphis, New Orleans and New York, and borne out in the live performances, is a narrative that explores what it means to be a part of Lenny's band. On rooftops, in muscle cars, propped up in dive bars, and in pool halls, the band in their own words talk candidly about life on the road, sharing the stage, improvising, translating the music from the studio to the stage and Lenny's quest for perfection. - Sursa: media-press.tv
