Coming-of-age comedy starring Earl Cave (son of singer Nick) as a heavy-metal-loving teenager who is forced to spend the summer with his boring old mum, in Simon Bird's (The Inbetweeners) debut feature in the director's chair. Daniel (Cave) is all set for six weeks in Florida with his dad and his dad's pregnant wife, Bernie. The weather will be fantastic, and he'll get to drive his father's MG convertible. Meanwhile, his mum (Monica Dolan) won't let him drive the Vauxhall Astra and she never gets her own cake, but instead nicks bits of his. So, when Bernie calls to say that Daniel won't be able to come to Florida, Daniel is obviously not very happy. Can a Metallica-loving, black-clad teenager with Tippexed emblems on his shoes have any fun with a middle-aged librarian who wears comfortable sandals? Well, she is his mum... Also starring Tamsin Greig and Rob Brydon. Network Premiere.
