Avatar: The Last Airbender is an American animated TV series, set in an Asiatic-like world. Some people there can manipulate the classical elements with psychokinetic variants of the Chinese martial arts. Unlike anybody else, 12-year-old Aang, the Avatar and last survivor of his nation, the Air Nomads, is capable of bending all four elements, his mission is to maintain harmony between the world's four nations. His flying bison Appa and friends Sokka, Katara, and later on Toph, are by his side on this challenging assignment.
