MEGA Fights

MEGA Fights are premiere events from the sport of boxing including HBO World Championship Boxing, historic PPV events plus past, current and future World Champions. This episode features an interim WBA light welterweight championship bout with "El Chino" Marcos Rene Maidana (29-2, 27 KOs) vs. "El Terrible" Erik Morales (51-6, 35 KOs). The event took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on April 9th, 2011. The grueling 12 round war had Morales fighting with one eye completely closed for the duration of the bout; by the end the eye was grotesquely swollen and discolored.
