Set in the 1680s, this mini-series follows four people - Beth, Hope, Abe and Ned, living on both sides of the Atlantic, who get caught up in tumultuous times as the world changes. In England, the restored monarchy of Charles II has betrayed its promises and became tyranny, while in America, English colonists are struggling to break free from the Crown.
