Halloween is coming and Dr. Pol is in his element dealing with jumping, flailing, and barking clientele. Charles has some tricks up his sleeves, but that's nothing compared to the surprises patients bring, as Dr. Pol is hit with blood, pee, and a kick in the knee. The doc and family visit a haunted yard, but after dealing with an angry herd of beef cattle, a pair of ill-mannered sugar gliders, and a skittish stallion, Dr. Pol ain't scared of no ghosts!

The first signs of summer gradually creep across central Michigan, and Pol Veterinary Clinic is in full swing. Vet assistant Olivia has been juggling work and school since deciding to pursue her vet tech certification and Dr. Pol and staff are happy to help in any way they can. As part of her program, Olivia will be shadowing Dr. Pol on a variety of cases and making a video displaying her vet tech skills. Charles sees an opportunity to express his creative side and quickly offers Olivia his directorial services- in exchange for complete creative control. The video will have to wait as the emergency calls come rushing in. As Dr. Pol and Charles race out to Clark farm for an emergency calving gone wrong, while Dr. Brenda has her hands full working with a straining mother cow to push her prolapsed uterus back in place. As the day comes to a close, Charles rolls out the red carpet and pops some popcorn for the premiere of his masterpiece, "Olvia." Will this piece of art have the critics raving or rolling?

Horses are driving Dr. Pol wild as he works to fix chunky runny noses, gruesome gashes and even penile problems. He's always up to the challenge, but it's a horse of a different color when Dr. Pol is asked to deliver a commencement address to the entire graduating class of Central Michigan University. He's known for being good with his hands, but keeping his foot out of his mouth will be the real trick!

Aquatic ecologist Zeb Hogan continues his quest to find and protect the world's largest freshwater fish in the frigid rivers of Mongolia. He will travel by plane, truck, and horseback to find the largest trout known as the Hucho taimen. This is not your everyday dinner trout. This monster can grow up to 6 feet in length and weighs up to 200 pounds.

Dr. Pol may be from the Netherlands, but there’s no question his home is Michigan as a vet or a church member, or a high school football fan, Dr. Pol and his family are very much a part of the Isabella County community. In honor of his dedication, Dr. Pol is surprised with an award in recognition of his work with 4H. But he has little time to celebrate before he’s off to help Marshall Farms castrate some of the newest members of their cattle herd while also working to curb a potentially disastrous pink eye outbreak at Finnerty Farms.
